Urbana Landmark Hotel is recently re-opened after a long renovation. It’s cheap, less than a half-mile from our house, located in downtown Urbana near a few bars and restaurants, and is “historic,” AKA, old and slightly weird.
If you prefer more modern accomodations, we recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, located a mile south of downtown Champaign, or the I-hotel, which is centrally located in the middle of a cornfield.
